What is a splash page?
‘Splash page’ is the term that we use for the page that people see when are just about to begin the login process. So they will be using their computer, tablet or mobile, they will have connected to the WiFi SSID in their settings, and have opened a web browser window.
Why should I set up a splash page?
Your splash page is the first thing your customers will see when they login, so it’s important to make the most of it! Offline and online splash pages can be completely personalised with your branding, logos and content - even better, they’re easier to create than ever before.
What’s the difference between offline and online splash pages?
Offline - This version is the authentication page that your customers use to login to the WiFi.
Online - This is what your customer sees when they have authenticated on to the network.
The offline and online splash pages can be identical or look completely different - it’s up to you!
How can I set up a splash page?
Splash pages are available in two different versions - desktop for laptops and tablets or mobile for smartphones. The splash page will automatically adjust to the type of device your customers are using.
You can choose from a range of sector specific templates or create your own. Once you’ve chosen your template, you will be able to populate it with your venue details, logo, background images and preferred login methods, as well as content such as social feeds, weather and text. You can also change the order in which the header content is displayed, swapping company logo and text with social logins and vice versa.
If you have more than one venue, you can create splash pages for individual venues.
